The Seibu 8000 series (西武8000系) is a commuter electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Seibu Railway in Japan since end of May 2025.[1] This is one of the vehicles given and received from Odakyu Electric Railway as a type of "Sustainable Car[Reference 1] (サステナ車両)".[1]

The 8000 series is planned for use on Kokubunji Line services.[2]

History

On 7 January 2025, Seibu announced that the first 8000 series sets would enter service at the end of May 2025.[3]
