American actor, animator, writer, producer, director, comedian, and singer Seth MacFarlane has released eight studio albums, one extended play, one soundtrack album, and 11 singles (including two as a featured artist). He has also contributed numerous songs to his projects, such as Family Guy, American Dad!, Ted, and others. In 2005, he served as a producer for the Family Guy soundtrack, Live in Vegas.[1] The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.[2]

In 2010, MacFarlane signed a record deal with Universal Republic Records.[3] In September 2011, MacFarlane released his debut studio album Music Is Better Than Words.[4] The album received positive reviews and reached 111 on the US Billboard 200 chart.[5] On November 30, 2011, the album received two Grammy Award nominations for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.[6] In September 2014, MacFarlane released his second studio album, and first Christmas-themed album Holiday for Swing.[7][8] The album reached 51 on the Billboard 200.[5] In September 2015, MacFarlane released his third studio album, No One Ever Tells You.[9][10][11] The album earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.[12]

In 2016, he made a guest appearance on Barbra Streisand’s album, Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway. He performed "Pure Imagination" with her as a duet.[13] A year later, MacFarlane released his fourth studio album In Full Swing.[14] The album received two nominations at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals.[15] His fifth studio album, Once in a While was released on April 19, 2019.[16]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, MacFarlane and Elizabeth Gillies collaborated on a series of songs, eight in total, on an extended playlist entitled, Songs from Home.[17][18] He released his sixth studio album, Great Songs from Stage & Screen in August 2020.[19] Like his previous four albums, he recorded a majority of the songs at Abbey Road Studios. However, much of the albums post-production work was done at home due to the pandemic.[20] On May 20, 2022, MacFarlane released his seventh studio album, Blue Skies.[21] In November 2023, MacFarlane and Gillies collaborated again and released their Christmas album, We Wish You the Merriest.[22]
