Romano
[edit]I originally labelled the car thus: Romano WE84 (Kaditcha K583). The reason is the car was originally constructed by Australian constructed Barry Locke who refered to all bar one of his cars as a Kaditcha, specifically the Kaditcha K583. Bap Romano was not particularly happy with the car and over the course of a year the car was modified to the extent that little of the originally remained apart from the out-shell bodywork. The work was done by ex-Formula One engineer Wayne Eckersley and Eckersley and Romano relabelled the car as the Romano WE84. Since it was not built as the Romano WE84 I left the original car name in brackets. --Falcadore (talk) 04:41, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Per the standards I've used on other sportscars results, usually only the original basic chassis constructor is retained in parenthesis. Same for engines. Hence, things like the MG-Lola EX257 engines being named "MG (AER) XP20 2.0L Turbo I4", even though the engines are in fact AER P07s. The359 (talk) 21:07, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Sandown 1000
[edit]I propose to change the name of this page to "1984 Sandown 1000" as the Official Programme uses this and only this name. GTHO (talk) 03:40, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
