Though this will merit its own separate article, an earthquake of similar or slightly higher intensity just struck Haiti this morning. Should we also reference it here, as it struck near where this one did? 1Rye998 (talk) 13:46, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In 2010, after the earthquake, the Italian government activated a humanitarian aid mission. In 4 days the Italian aircraft carrier Nave Cavour was deployed and sent to Haiti. The aircraft carrier reached Haiti in 10 days. The 882 Italian soldiers and doctors carried out over 300 medical services, trasported 150 people through 6 Italian helicopters and distributed 12 t of foodstuffs, 176 t of medicines and 36 t of potable water. The mission lasted 86 days.

Hey Ret3426, this request is better made for the article about the 2010 Haiti earthquake rather than the general project page for good articles, so I've moved the request to this talk page. Another editor will be along in time to handle your request. Let me know if you have any questions! —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 03:52, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
