Venue Explanation

CONCACAF W Championship 2022 will be played in 2 different cities:
1: Guadalupe, Nuevo León
2: San Nicolás de los Garza
both inside the Monterrey metropolitan area.
But, Monterrey City it's a different geographic concept because that is the capital of Nuevo León state.

So:
1: Monterrey (Greater Monterrey, Monterrey City, or Monterrey Capital) it's state's capital
2: Monterrey metropolitan area include:
-Guadalupe
-San Nicolás de los Garza
-Monterrey (The capital)
-Apodaca etc.... In total there are 12 cities (in spanish called municipality)

Stadium Location

-Estadio BBVA is a stadium in Guadalupe City/municipality.
Adress: Av. Pablo Livas #2011, La Pastora, Guadalupe, Nuevo León state
-Estadio Universitario is a stadium in San Nicolás de los Garza City.
Adress: Niños Héroes street., Ciudad Universitaria, San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León state

Goal Timing

Mastergerwe97 has pointed out a potential conflict in recording the timing of goals. It's not unheard of for the official reports to later be corrected regarding the scoring of goals (whether it be the time of the goal, or who actually scored), but I question whether we should be using match highlights to record the timing of goals or whether we should refer to the official match reports. Specifically, the goal in question was the second goal scored by Cristín Granados in the TRI–CRC match. The official match report records the goal as having been scored in 45', but a match highlight video shows the goal being scored at 43:57 (in 44'). There are many matches for which such highlight videos are not available (and this one was not published by CONCACAF, though the channel is affiliated with CBS so I am not concerned about WP:RS in this case), so my question for all involved editors is whether we should refer only to official reports or if we can refer to highlight videos. I would normally say that absent a reliable source indicating otherwise that the goal was scored at a different time, then the match report should hold. However, in this particular case there is a highlight video published by a reliable source using direct match footage showing the exact moment the goal was scored. I am convinced that this particular goal should have been recorded as 44', not 45', but how should we reference the video since it isn't exactly a match report? This exact same thing has happened when team USA played Jamaica. Trinity Rodman scored a goal in the 86th minute, but the match report said it was 87th. What I usually do is google search the game, and it basically tells you what time the goal was scored. Then I would compare it to the match report. If those two are different, then I would go to the match highlights to check which is right. Mastergerwe97 (talk) 01:15, 12 July 2022 (UTC)

@Mastergerwe97: I understand, but there is still the issue of providing a reference to the correct information. Unfortunately, adding the reference to {{goal}} does not seem to work properly:

As you can see, the minute symbol ' comes after the reference link, so it is both visually unappealing and syntactically incorrect. That is part of my concern – how should this be referenced? No, we have the various citation templates to format the references as footnotes. I'm asking where the reference should be placed in the football box. If the highlight video is not directly referenced, then the average reader would think we had published incorrect information since the official match report says 45' but we published 44'.
