It's not uncommon for jihadists to use heavy amount of drugs before carrying out an attack, and the foreign minister is describing them as bandits, but he has not directly provided evidence of this. The Chad government is not fully democratic, which means it's more difficult to get accurate information in the country. So we can't say conclusively that bandits carried out the attack. Media frequently call any armored vehicles "tanks". Often these are just military armored vehicles such as APCs as it's very rare to have main battle tanks or light tanks deployed on the streets. Harizotoh9 (talk) 09:50, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Fair point, it would be best to use the term "armored vehicles" in place of "tanks" as they are clearly very different vehicles and would affect the accuracy of the report. Jurisdicta (talk) 23:03, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
