Banu Abbas → Abbasid dynasty – Per WP:ENG and common usage, similar to analogous cases with the Umayyad dynasty (Banu Umayya), Mirdasid dynasty (Banu Mirdas), etc. The family is specifically notable as a caliphal dynasty rather than as a 'mere' Arab clan or tribe. - Weak support for consistency, but I kind of wonder if we shouldn't be going the other way, e.g., Banu Umayya, etc. Srnec (talk) 13:57, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Recent edits to family tree
[edit]Since August there have been some 110 consecutive edits (so far) to the family tree chart ([1]). I'm assuming these are good-faith revisions, but no explanations or edit summaries have been provided by the IP user(s) doing this. I see that GoldRingChip reverted the latest edits, explaining that there were template errors, but the IP is now edit-warring ([2], [3]). The IP user should explain themselves here before edit-warring, and it might help if they explained the overall edits they've been making since August.
Also, as a general note: the family tree section does not cite any sources, which raises WP:V and WP:OR concerns. It was originally added in 2022 by Lord MAKR Master ([4]). It would help if they could explain what sources they used to verify the information in this chart. (And perhaps they could also check if the recent edits look alright?)
