What's with the animal names listed next to each episode? What do they mean?

...And why was this show part of the wikipedia Economics project? What does a children's nature show have anything to do with economics? O__o

Hi. You know, I have no idea. I removed the animal names as OR after I re-added it, with a reference. I tagged it as OR again. I typed in a hidden message requesting for the anons to tell us what the animal is (the golden gecko award, the animal mentioned in the report, etc). I'll try to see what else I could do. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 18:36, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that the animals in parentheses did the opening scene at the end of the theme song for each episode. If memory serves, the animal in question walked across the scene, revealing the episode's title. 70.80.215.121 (talk) 12:50, 30 April 2011 (UTC)Adam70.80.215.121 (talk) 12:50, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Season 5 and 6 is now on Nick Jr and Sprout

[edit]

Nick Jr and Sprout is. Until Easter

Producer

[edit]

If I remember correctly, this show was made by Dorling Kindersley. I'll try to add that to the article. 70.80.215.121 (talk) 10:26, 30 April 2011 (UTC)Adam70.80.215.121 (talk) 10:26, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

[edit]

Should this be moved to Amazing Animals pursuant to WP:Common name? The Mysterious El Willstro (talk) 06:12, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. I've never heard this series referred to as anything other than simply Amazing Animals. "Henry's Amazing Animals" appears to be an alternate name for some VHS releases. Either change the article title, or find a citation that supports the "Henry's." Agentspooky (talk) 02:24, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Animals on Title Sequence

[edit]

Given that Season 4 is considered lost media at this point, how do we know what animal was revealing the title for each of them? Has somebody got all the VHS at home and checked? I'm interested. Bloated listes of over-capitalized animal names

[edit]

@Apokryltaros: I see you reverted some of these recent additions recently, though you didn't say why. I was working on some case fixing when I notice that probably half the words in this article are capitalized when they shouldn't be, and I have a consider whether a massive rollback might be a good fix. Are these lists useful? Are they sourced? Dicklyon (talk) 11:01, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

My edits to this page have been to mass-revert the non-constructive edits of a long-term abuse, IP-hopping WP:vandal who corrupts every page they haunt with poorly written, often nonsensical WP:original research as per WP:DENY, and it's rather tedious having to explain myself over and over and over again while reverting the 100 something edits this annoying vandal makes to a 100 something different pages over and over and over again. Having said that, do what you wish to improve this page, but I recommend against using the vandal's edits. Mr Fink (talk) 15:38, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted to behind those changes, and invited the IP to join this conversation. Dicklyon (talk) 23:23, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've dealt with this IP-hopping vandal, aka the "Megafauna Man Vandal," for over a decade, and I warn you that the vandal is wholly incapable of communicating with other editors beyond restoring its non-constructive edits or evading blocks. My advice is to continue editing as if they don't exist while reverting their edits. Mr Fink (talk) 06:12, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a record of some of his IP addresses, so we could ask for an appropriate range block? I see he's been a couple of places in Indonesia, with firstmedia.com. Dicklyon (talk) 10:51, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
