Predecessor was not the Blue Comet
[edit]If any service was close to being a "predecessor", it was the Pennsylvania Railroad's Nellie Bly, even though that operated via what is now today's River Line, completely within New Jersey instead of crossing into Pennsylvania. The Blue Comet certainly did not operate into Penn Station as the Nellie Bly did, nor did it take the roundabout route along the Delaware River, but operated via the Pine Barrens to Winslow Junction.

- I've replaced Blue Comet with Nellie Bly on the infobox. The latter train, #1077/#1070, can be seen on the Pennsylvania Railroad timetable, January 1954, Table 32, visible at this address: http://streamlinermemories.info/PRR/PRR54-1TT.pdf Dogru144 (talk) 01:20, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
