Soccerbase also states that he managed Luton Town from 1962 to 64 and Grimsby Town from 1968 to 69, but I find it extremely hard to believe that this could be the same Bill Harvey - a 23 year gap in one man's management career seems unlikely (admittedly, not impossible, but unlikely nonetheless.....) Scrub that, putting my own interpretation on it is of course OR, have to go with what the source says..... ChrisTheDude 08:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Here is a reliable source that says that Bill Harvey the Luton/Grimsby manager died in 2002 aged 82, which would have made him 12 in 1932 - I very much doubt that Chesterfield would have appointed a 12 year old manager, therefore it is not the same man.... I've heard today from a relative of Bill's who says that Bill died in North Shields; while unspecific with a date it is clear that his Bill Harvey is our man, which finally knocks the idea of a South African death on the head. If I can get more I'll add it to the main page.
