Warning for future editors
[edit]It has come to my attention that some sources have been trawling the wiki page for the Brinksway Caves and have copied several passages, in some cases word for word; the main one of concern being the Manchester Evening News which does appear to occasionally do the same for other local niches for small articles or image galleries.
Here are to examples two compare:
- (25 July 2022) Brinksway Caves, Wikipedia.
- (25 July 2023) "Fascinating photos of hidden Greater Manchester caves that became 'hotspot' for rough sleepers", Manchester Evening News.
Other pages such as the Derelict Manchester blog have also copied content from Wikipedia without noting down it's origin.
When editing in future, editors should bear this in mind to avoid potential citogenesis incidents when sourcing statements and material for the article. Pax Brittanica (talk) 23:50, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
