Collaborations?
[edit]Why is the discography section listed as only for solo LPs? Many other artists have collaborations and EPs in their discographies.

- Agreed, I don't understand this. -Verdatum (talk) 18:56, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- See guidelines. Discography sections should provide a basic summary of the musician's work. If you want to list other albums such as EPs or collaborations, create a Discography page. (Sugar Bear (talk) 19:45, 24 November 2008 (UTC))
- All this link says that I can see is, "Musicians that have released a significant amount of work should be given their own discography articles. " I would hardly consider this handful of albums a significant amount of work. -Verdatum (talk) 20:04, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- Further, from MOS (list of works)"(Discographies) are included for musical acts (solo or group), composers and other people who have a list of contributions to music. Ordered from oldest to newest. Vital information is the title and year; label and notes are optional. Items may also be divided into sub-sections, e.g. singles, albums, dvds." Seems to imply that sections including categories like singles are acceptable. -Verdatum (talk) 20:08, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ibranoff needs to get off his power trip on this issue. Cage is part of no less than 3 rap duos and a rap supergroup, including his collaborations in his discography is informative and frankly, why would you want to censor information on Wikipedia? Intrinsical (talk) 00:44, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- Read the guidelines. "Power trip"? "Censor information"? Are you being serious? (Sugar Bear (talk) 02:24, 8 December 2008 (UTC))
- I read the guidelines...please respond to my concerns raised above before reverting. I don't think that's asking too much. -Verdatum (talk) 15:47, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I missed the edit where the discography page was created. I think this is extremely silly for such a short article, but not silly enough to fight over it. -Verdatum (talk) 15:49, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

"Alex"
[edit]Original rap name is listed as "Alex" although his appearance on Pete Nice's solo album in '93 was credited as Benz, which should probably be mentioned 99.225.39.207 (talk) 07:19, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]Is any of this information verifiable, most of this information just comes from articles on the guy or interview, does anyone have any actual infomation from family members or friends? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.70.226.83 (talk) 03:57, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- So, the multiple news articles and album reviews are not verifiable? (Sugar Bear (talk) 13:40, 26 May 2009 (UTC))
- Hi, 83.70.226.83: Unless statements of family members and friends are published in a reliable source (trusted newspapers - even as just a letter to the editor, magazines, trade journals, researched books, broadcasts, documentaries, online journals, etc), then they are not verifiable and therefore not an encyclopedic source. (Please note that some publishing sources are far more reliable than others: Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources.) Statements have to be on record to be included in an encyclopedia. I could claim that his mother told me that his favorite color is "bilious yellow" and include that in the article, but it's impossible to verify or refute unless you also talk to his mother. So, putting in information and opinions gotten merely by talking to people who know him is not useful here on WP. (And no, I have no idea what his favorite color is. B^) Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 18:57, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
age
[edit]presumably he isn't forthcoming about his age because he is over 40? and what cool kid from the burbs wants to buy rap from someone their parents age? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.201.37.232 (talk) 00:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- Cage is presently 35 years old, as revealed in the August issue of Spin Magazine and Spin Magazine online http://www.spin.com/articles/cage-out-shadows Tedflavin (talk) 16:48 7/29/09 —Preceding undated comment added 21:49, 29 July 2009 (UTC).
Eminem
[edit]Eminem didn't "jest" that he had "rapped over a Cage mixtape" to ironically admit he was influenced by Cage. When he raps "I bought Cage's tape, opened it / And dubbed over it," he simply means he got a copy and recorded over it -- not with his own raps -- suggesting Cage's tape wasn't worth listening to. Someone should remove that sentence.

Adam Weishaupt?
[edit]Why do' he mention Johann Adam Weishaupt ( Founder of Illuminati) in his music? Illiuminated Creed (talk) 01:43, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
Kill the architect?
[edit]I am brand new here, so don't feel comfortable adding to the article just yet, but how come there's no information on his latest album? I am sure there are reviews and figures out there.

Early life
[edit]Lots of specific and grandiose claims made in this section. The sources don't back any of them up. What's the deal?
I appreciate this wiki
[edit]As a 15 year old who found out about cage, I only think about how I was born in the wrong timeline. Cage is such a beautiful artist and hearing his “backstory” and events made me tear up. I was hyped to find out that Stoney Lodge is a real place yet I was disturbed by what happened to Palko. Fishhead2009 (talk) 05:49, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
