Why does this site exist?
[edit]Why is there no mention in this article that Pinckney never lived on this site and that there are no structures from his era on the site? Pinckney seems to be a self-created who made himself more important than he really was and I've never understood why this site deserved federal dollars. This article needs to be expanded to reflect why is part of the National Park System. Dbroer (talk) 13:20, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
