Peer Review
[edit]Hey! This Its_Gabe. Here are my comments for the peer review assignment.
- I very much enjoyed reading your article, especially the lead. Though there were times I did feel that some sentences could be written with more clarity and/or contained run-ons. Going back to your lead section, it was very good. I could easily understand what your topic was on and the important elements of the article.
- I also like that you provided different perspectives on the issue.
- The structure of your article is very clear and organized. I like that you dived into providing information and application of the re-identification in many fields.
- A page doesn’t exist for privacy regulations
- Good work overall!! I cannot wait to see the finished product!

Peer Comment
[edit]- When describing the process of de-identification, an example could be useful;
- “Others do not think…” would be interesting to give an example who the "others" might be/are;
- I see some abreviated words that need editing;
- Should citing be included for the first couple sentences in the Netflix paragraph? Strillonator (talk) 07:08, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
Page name
[edit]I can't comprehend naming this page Data Re-Identification rather than Data re-identification and then not glossing it (DRI). If DRI can't be cited, I can't understand naming this page Data Re-Identification at all. — MaxEnt 00:07, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
Merger discussion with de-anonymization
[edit]I have no dog in this fight as to whether these should be one or two pages; my issue is that on quick inspection, I have no idea if there's any true distinction between the subjects covered. Either merge or distinguish, please. — MaxEnt 00:18, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
- Support merge proposal; these read as the same topic to me. De-anonymization is the older page, but Data re-identification is more developed and better referenced, the former consisting largely of examples. I accept that De-anonymization is nominally broader (in that the title doesn't include the term data), but the content and substance of the two pages are the same. So, suggest a merge to Data re-identification. Klbrain (talk) 06:27, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
- Support merge to Data re-identification, per Klbrain above. -- The Anome (talk)
