Factual error - the Mere Fault is parallel to the Dean Hill Anticline and a good way to the north. It does not cut the Dean Hill Anticline to the southeast of Salisbury. Reference 3 (Melville) on page 121 states that the Portdown Anticline continues northwestwards along the line of the Avon valley, cutting off the Dean Hill Anticline at its western end, not the eastern end as stated in this article.
