@Pbritti does my edit at Special:Diff/1268309867 suffice to satisfy your concern? TarnishedPathtalk 04:16, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@TarnishedPath: Looks good! I'm going to do a quick review of the article when I have fresh eyes and should have this approved by the end of the day UTC. Thanks! ~ Pbritti (talk) 04:35, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbritti: lol on your edit at Special:Diff/1268313206. Actually I was almost going to do this DYK review because I have some articles coming up in the future that I will need QPQ for, but then I realised that I couldn't because I had edited the article a bit. Anyway when I was going to review it, I did a bit of googling about another Australian politician named Pauline Hanson to determine if she was the first female to wear a hijab because a number of years ago in an act of racist belligerence she's decided to wear a Burqa in parliament. Anyway I was glad at the time to see that Hanson wasn't the first to female to wear a hijab in parliament. TarnishedPathtalk 05:11, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi TarnishedPath, just wanted to double check if were you intending to follow through on reviewing Payman's article? If so, I'll leave you to it, but if not, I would love to take a look at it when I have the time to this week! Ornithoptera (talk) 18:03, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ornithoptera as I wrote above, I can't because I've edited the article. Also I think Pbritti is already in the middle of reviewing it. TarnishedPathtalk 23:03, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to not close this review earlier! We're good to go here! ~ Pbritti (talk) 23:56, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Senator Fatima Payman faced significant backlash after describing Iran as an "incredible place" for women during an interview with Iranian state-owned Press TV, praising the country for allowing women to participate in the workforce and dismissing Western criticism as "propaganda"[1]. Critics, including the Australian Iranian Community Organisation, accused her of aligning with the rhetoric of the Iranian regime, which has been widely condemned for human rights abuses against women[2]. Payman later apologised, stating her comments reflected experiences shared by others at the event and not her personal opinion, while claiming she was unaware of Press TV's political affiliations[3]. Despite her apology, her remarks prompted calls for an investigation into whether she had any affiliations with foreign entities, further fueling the controversy[4]. 2405:6E00:491:2EB7:CD4E:1C74:8EC8:FEF9 (talk) 03:39, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I think Women's rights in Iran could be a more appropriate Wikilink than the generic human rights. 2405:6E00:491:2EB7:CD4E:1C74:8EC8:FEF9 (talk) 03:42, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Added this with some minor rewording. Thanks. GraziePrego (talk) 04:19, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
