[edit]This page really needs some work. None of the facts are cited or verified, the tone of the article needs improvement, and there is a complete overuse of parentheses.

POV
[edit]"Art Damage as an album was much heavier and darker than their debut; the band left behind the relative simplicity and, arguably, tiredness of the instrumental work of their debut in favor of the abrasiveness characterizing bands such as Converge and Every Time I Die."
"Simplicity" and "tiredness"? Could we explain the change without putting down the old material? Fiction Alchemist 08:00, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

'left for unknown reasons'
[edit]Zach Hutchings says in this interview that Matthew Clouse left the band to go back to school. http://nighttimes.com/nt_main.asp?aID=922.
Metalcore?
[edit]I question the reasoning behind catagorizing this artist as metalcore. The album Art Damage certainly displays aspects of the genre, but their current album is far from anything metal. I believe Experimental/Hardcore is the closest classification one could give this band without adding many slash and musical jargon.

Well not exactly... its more like mathcore I think rather than metalcore, I know, many people can't see the difference between experimental hardcore and mathcore (it's cos they're the same!!! but at last mathcore is a kind of METALCORE not hardcore) but if you litsen very hard the tune will come to you at last Yep! I like Led Zep —The preceding signed but undated comment was added at 04:29:57, August 19, 2007 (UTC).
The Always Open Mouth can hardly be classified as any sort of hardcore. As for their other albums, what qualifies them for metalcore? What elements of hardcore or metal are present in their music? Breakdowns? Blast beats? The band displays very little other than screaming and guitar riffs. With that being said, I think it is safe to say that Fear Before, while showing some elements of metal or hardcore, is not metalcore.--Wick3dd 17:21, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
I think they could be classified as "post-hardcore". -Victor
Yeah, I think that is better than metalcore. --Wick3dd (talk) 23:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Experimental and post-hardcore are now supported by a pop matters review. Please leave them.--Wick3dd (talk) 00:02, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Also on equal vision.com they display them as post-hardcore and experimental. Just thought id let you know :P Riverpeopleinvasion (talk) 20:17, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
