where did this Gottfredson PDF come from?

[edit]

Hi, I've been working on sourcing this page, and I've had the hardest time finding sources for some of the information. So I looked at some of the links on the page itself, and there's a PDF of a letter from Gottfredson to Tony Fischier. But there's absolutely no context (i.e., who uploaded the letters, if they are in an archive somewhere, etc.)! It does look authentic, but I think I need more to go off of to cite it as a source. thoughts? Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 21:11, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like information from the letters might be in Walt's People, Vol. 8, so I'll take a look. Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 21:14, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
the letters are reprinted there, and I'm much more comfortable citing a book than a citationless PDF file. Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 17:57, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Odd choice of words

ive never made a Wikipedia contribution in my life but this was bothering me so much - surely the sentence “He has probably had the same impact on the Mickey Mouse comics as Carl Barks had on the Donald Duck comics.” could be phrased in a better way?? it really reads more like conjecture than anything else. I’m sure that I could’ve just edited this myself but I’ve absolutely no idea of the etiquette around here so I’m just throwing this to the masses for someone to hopefully address👍 2601:8A:4102:D120:1534:1542:7E0E:71CF (talk) 03:57, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, how weird. Did I not rewrite the lead when I was editing this page?? I don't have time to fact-check the statement right now, but I reworded it to have a more encyclopedic voice. Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 15:13, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
