Keeping it separate from the commercial campaign

I have a connection to the people that run this, so I'm not editing much now that it's moved to mainspace. However, I fixed a spelling mistake, and I remove the following:

During its first year, the public reaction towards the event was not very enthusiastic.<ref name="reaction" />

That article focuses on a promotional campaign by a cashback company, which has nothing to do with the official event (other than taking advantage of it for publicity). So I figured it would be uncontroversial to remove it.

Is this still active?

As of today, their website hasn't been updated in a year (plus, the map of activities is broken) and their Twitter feed only has three tweets this year, so it seems like it's not really thing anymore. —howcheng {chat} 05:30, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
