Template

[edit]

The {{archaeogloss}} template can be used to conveniently link to entries on this list, e.g.:

{{archaeogloss|fieldwork}}fieldwork

Or:

{{archaeogloss|backfill|backfilled}}backfilled

Behind the scenes it also adds semantic markup to help robots read it, or something. Joe Roe (talk) 02:20, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalisation

[edit]

@Jentacular: I've just noticed that you changed all the entries in the glossary of archaeology to start with an uppercase letter. Can I ask why? The manual of style for glossaries says to start with a lower-case letter. And changing them all has broken a lot of incoming links and redirects to specific entries. – Joe (talk) 07:16, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please also avoid unnecessarily switching between two accepted spellings of a word (e.g. artefact→artifact [1]). – Joe (talk) 08:31, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Papua New Guinea Sorry, I was unaware. I'll pay attention to rules. Sorry about that. Jentacular (talk) 22:12, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
