[edit]Seems a bit pointless having two articles, this and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzzy_Wuzzy - I'll leave it to others to debate which should have precedence.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.66.131.34 (talk • contribs) 22:42, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree. Quite apart from the extraordinarily callous throwaway racism inherent in the term, FuzzyWuzzy (which, of course, Kipling was aware of and used deliberately in the context of his time, and in the persona to which he attributes the phrase, but which, nevertheless, could be seen as a legitimising of an abhorrent attitude if that was the only article on these people) much more might be said about Suakim, the unbelievably ancient (and beautiful) centre of power for these peoples for so many millenia before the shift of the balance of power from Nubia to the Fertile Crescent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.200.175.133 (talk) 11:11, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
Dad's Army
[edit]And echoing the comments on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzzy_Wuzzy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dad%27s_Army would likely be a more common association with these people for UK readers, even now.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.66.131.34 (talk • contribs) 22:42, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
