William Hawkins
[edit]Have just edited this (see edit summary) I hope nobody minds my removal of the word Alderman. David Dickson particularly says he did not get involved in local politics. He is very highly regarded and this is recent scholarship so I would expect his view to count over McCready, the other reference. This matter of the wall is mentioned in An Irishman's Diary in today's Irish Times. Aineireland (talk) 19:34, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
