Trivia section

[edit]

I deleted the trivia section since the only item in it is already covered previously in the article. Monkey Bounce (talk) 00:01, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One bit of missing trivia is the garbled geography of the film. The subtitles at the very beginning say it is in Sichuan, but the dialogue says Manchuria. Then the train station is introduced as being in the Russian Concession of Beijing ("Pekin") but the dialogue and the Chinese text of a sign say Shanghai. If you have far too much time on your hands that might interest you. --May 25, 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.196.140.56 (talk) 05:13, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The link to an apparently public domain version on IA was flagged up and then removed [1] but we still have the see also link, which should probably go if it isn't. The only evidence given was this which says "Thanks to a legal snafu involving the American distributor, Horror Express fell into the public domain" which sounds like a Night of the Living Dead situation. I am no expert but reading up on URAA would this not depend on it having been properly copyrighted anywhere? Also, given that copyright varies considerable, should the link be in if it is PD anywhere and it is up to the downloader to decide if it is PD in their own homeland? There's no reason the article has to have a such a link. I'm also no expert, but to me it looks like the copyright was restored by URAA and a notice of intent to enforce copyright is on file in the US. I removed a Youtube link from the External links section: the video had been taken down anyway. As Emperor pointed out, anyone who wants to try and view it online is free to do their own search and take their own risk. Richigi (talk) 02:24, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
