[edit]The history section needs to be written. When was the hotel chain founded? Where? By whom? It didn't start in 2004, as the article would lead one to belive. Bruxism 03:55, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Infobox Company needed
[edit]Anyone know enough about Hyatt to complete the following Infobox Company template? I'll try looking for some of the facts.
{{Infobox Company | company_name = | company_logo = | company_type = | foundation = | location = | key_people = | area_served = | industry = | products = | revenue = | operating_income = | net_income = | num_employees = | parent = | subsid = | homepage = | footnotes = }}

This article reads like a brochure for the Hyatt chain.
(The following from Anonymous Coward, 3/3/2007 11:36 PST) This 'entry'-cum-advertisement has to go. I was redirected here after a search for 'Hyatt Regency;' specifically I wanted info on the Hyatt Regency walkway collapse. To be fair, there is a page on it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyatt_Regency_walkway_collapse) which I ended up finding through Google.
Someone deleted my photo!
[edit]User:Matshh deleted my photo from the article at this edit [1] on 23 January 2007, in what appears to be vandalism. I am adding it back right now. --Coolcaesar 12:16, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Someone should edit the article to include this: http://www.boston.com/business/articles/2009/09/17/housekeepers_lose_hyatt_jobs_to_outsourcing/
No mention of what level of hotels this is.
[edit]Luxury? Upscale? Economy? Some info would be appropriate. Imagine Reason (talk) 23:36, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard discussion regarding Penny Pritzker/Hyatt articles
[edit]FYI, see:
- Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Penny Pritzker and other Pritzker family articles (permanent link)
The edits of concern involve subtle issues about business disputes within the Pritzker family, major stakeholders in the Hyatt organization; it would be good to get additional eyes and opinions on the subject.

[edit]Planning add Hyatt's official response to the Reyes sisters' petition: http://www.hyattworkplace.com/market-updates/other-market-updates/hyatt-regency-santa-clara — Preceding unsigned comment added by SocialMom2011 (talk • contribs) 19:47, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Proposed Changes to Hyatt Wikipedia Page
[edit]Second paragraph change: "Jay's younger brother Donald Pritzker, under Jack Crouch's mentorship and along with his brother Jay, took over day-to-day operations of the company and acquired motels and hotels." Delete sentence that begins with 'under Donald's leadership...'
Add in additional third paragraph: Over the following decade, Donald's handling of the day-to-day operations and Jay's leadership and deal-making abilities helped drive acquisitions and financial strategy, making Hyatt the fastest-growing hotel chain in the United States. After Donald's death in 1972, Jay remained at the helm, helping to shape Hyatt into a major competitor in the hospitality industry. REFERENCE: http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/Hyatt-Corporation-Company-History.html
Add in additional sixth paragraph: In June 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were consolidated under a single entity called Global Hyatt Corporation. This created a hospitality company with a single balance sheet, a single organization and a single focus. On June 30, 2009, Global Hyatt Corporation changed its name to Hyatt Hotels Corporation. REFERENCE: Hyatt Hotels Corporation 2010 annual report, Part 1, Item 1, page 3
In the paragraph discussing Boston housekeeping: Add a sentence after Governor Patrick's boycott information that reads: "Hyatt offered a Job Assurance Program, which arranged for a new job with another employer for any employee who wanted one or job retraining at their previous Hyatt rate of pay, as well as extended healthcare benefits." REFERENCE: http://www.hyattbostoncommunity.com
In the paragraph that introduces Hyatt's brands: Revise the first sentence to read: Hyatt Hotels Corporation operations several chains, and the company and its people have been recognized from publications including Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Latina Style and DiversityInc Magazine. The Human Rights Campaign has awarded the company 100% in the HRC Equality Index for eight consecutive years. REFERENCE: http://hyattpressroom.com/hyatt/en/awards/2011/our_brands.html
