Unsourced content removal
[edit]I have removed unsourced content, and as a result, a few editors are desperately reverting my edit. In the edit summary, I provided a proper explanation why I removed that unsourced content. My philosophy is pretty simple: either provide reliable sources, or they will be challenged and removed. Read the WP:REFB and WP:CHEWINGGUM policies thoroughly. Nobody is stopping you from adding reliable sources, but you can't keep unsourced content. Thanks 2405:201:800B:6079:B51B:2456:FE74:FBCE (talk) 05:01, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
- hi, and thanks for helping us edit Wikipedia.
- sometimes, you know, it's less time consuming for everyone if you locate the source, given most content in the encyclopedia is accurate and just needs attention to detail.
- oftentimes, content removal that isn't contentious should be discussed and a consensus found, in the spirit of collaborative editing.
- i think it might help if we go over your edits with you, and suggest changes.

- I don't have so much time on my hands to find sources for unsourced content; I am busy in my personal life. And who said that most unsourced content is all genuine information? It is the source that will speak. The credibility of an article will be established when you provide reliable sources. But if unsourced content is there, then I shall challenge and remove it. And by the way, I am not stopping someone from adding sources. But you can't keep such a large chunk of materials completely unsourced, denying viewers of Wikipedia the chance to get correct and genuine information.
