Possibly from Vienne and married in Philadelphia? But not sure.

[edit]

Some additional records not sure if they are the same person.

If this is the same person, there was a marriage in the Holy Trinity Church in Philadelphia in 1806. That person was from Vienne, Dept. de Lizère, France, where he was the son of Jean Baptist Moussier propriétaire au dit Vienne, and Marie Roche.

The French archives have a MOUSSIER (Jean-Baptiste) applying for a passport to Martinique in 1808 Négociant. Passeport pour la Martinique. Nom également cité en F/7/3568 dossier DULOBO. F/7/3575 (1808, 1 pièce).

They also have a passport application for a Jean-Baptiste Moussier to travel to the United States in 1808. This passport suggests he was a naturaliste, and was then going aux Etats-Unis, rejoindre son épouse (to the United States, to join his wife). This passport is from Gironde which is in Bordeaux. Not close to Vienne.

Some non RS sources found suggest JB was born 1774 in Vienne, Isère, France; died 11 June 1831 in New Orleans, LA. Chloé was born in 1788 in Cap Français, Haïti, Saint-Domingue, and died 13 June 1836 in New Orleans The Lazongar de Lassalle name appears to originate in Bordeaux. It would make sense that someone born in Saint-Domingue at the time she did would have left that place because of the Haitian Revolution. Nayyn (talk) 14:05, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
