Karbelian → Gabelian – name misspelled. The correct name is Gabelian, used wrongly as the name for the district ruled by this family. - A good ref (or two) showing that they refer to the same place would make your argument more effective. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 07:41, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- MPGuy2824 (talk · contribs), as far as I know, there is no family (this is not a place name) called Karbelian (see here). The family was called Gabelian (or Gabełean = Գաբեղեան) and the article is about them (some mentions here). For precise citation, see Toumanoff (1963), p. 220-221, 240, 252 etc. (cf. pt:Família Gabeliano). The district the Gabelians ruled was called Gabełeank (the family name + suffix k' to indicate place names).--Renato de Carvalho Ferreira (talk) 14:44, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- Should the articles be merged? There's basically nothing in either article and the district article also seems to be about the family by its one sentence. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 13:17, 12 December 2024 (UTC)

- Skarmory, trying not to be rude, these articles are all IP trash. They were made in 2005 or so and never were edited so far, at least not to include new content. I'm creating and expanding all articles on pt.wiki, but I just do minimal improvements here. If anyone understands Portuguese, it's a good start. All sources are there for this family and almost all others.--Renato de Carvalho Ferreira (talk) 23:54, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- And the reason this isn't a CSD#A7? TiggerJay (talk) 04:25, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- I would at least turn this into a redirect to Gabełeank (or the other way around) rather than delete. I don't think it falls under any of the A7 categories anyway, and the ptwiki article seems to have a claim to significance, so I think it just needs expansion rather than deletion.
