Date of death

[edit]

Anybody got a source for the date of death? BBC website gives no actual date. Mjroots (talk) 13:28, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not as yet. I found one article which said the 14th, but, unfortunately, it was citing Wikipedia as a source. -- Skarl 13:39, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Article currently reflects the situation. Dod not known, but announced on 14 Dec. Mjroots (talk) 13:46, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Contact Music has reported that she

"passed away last week (Begs10Dec08) after a lengthy illness, according to BBC producer Alan Bell,"

but I'm not sure how reliable a source it is. -- Skarl 15:50, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

St Mark's Church memorial

[edit]

She [is/was] commemorated in a memorial screen at the church.

Can User:1.220.90.182 and User:ZeroAlpha87 discuss the tense issue here on the talk page rather than just reverting the word back and forth and saying that their version is "correct"? For example, is a memorial screen a generally permanent feature in a church? Thanks. Belbury (talk) 17:11, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And there is Wikipedia in a nutshell... Having read the article in The Church Times, Staff was a regular worshipper there, money was spent on the memorial screen, and the presiding cleric at its installation stated: '[T]his is a most fitting way to remember her'; all of these suggest to me that it is permanent, and was always designed to be.
