1 billion views

[edit]

@SNUGGUMS: Do you think we should add about the fact that she is the first artist to have two videos with 1 billion views? -- Frankie talk 19:12, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fine with me. In fact, I was thinking about adding it myself. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:57, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Title change needed

[edit]

The term videography has a very specific definition in published literature on film/video. Videography is the work done by a videographer as opposed to cinematography which is the work done by a cinematographer. A videography does not mean a list of film/video/media credits. There are no sources using the term in this way outside wikipedia. Whoever started using the word this way on wikipedia created an original neologism which is something we cannot do per WP:NEO and WP:VERIFIABILITY. I am surprised that this was not caught or brought up when this was a featured list candidate. As such, the article title is fundamentally inaccurate and misrepresents the article's content. Hopefully this will get solved quickly to avoid the need for an WP:FAR. 4meter4 (talk) 21:03, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

See my comments here as they also apply for this page where you left an identical message. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:33, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I replied to your comment there. Similarly, Katy Perry in media or List of media credits for Katy Perry would be possible alternative titles for this page. I’m open to other suggestions. Best.4meter4 (talk) 00:26, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For the same reasoning that I wrote on the Gaga page, I would personally choose the "List of media credits for _____" format here, but will wait to move in case anybody else wants to provide input first. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 01:40, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Madonna videography which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 18:32, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
