There were 480 original Gunsmoke broadcasts. 64 or so re-used scripts modifying the script and with different actors. They were original broadcasts, not re-runs. Unfortunately, the main source on Gunsmoke, the book 'Gunsmoke: A Complete History and Analysis of the Legendary Broadcast Series' got this wrong.
