Same or Different Lithuanian Opera Company of Chicago?
[edit]In January 2007, The Lithuanian Opera Company of Chicago's web site, www.lithoperachicago.org, stated that they had ceased productions after fifty years. In March, the web site disappeared as the registration for the domain expired, although the domain name was then private-registered with a generic keyword advertising web site, presumably by a cybersquatter. All this would seem to indicate the company closed up shop.
However, there appears to be one performance of Johann Strauss the Younger's operetta „Vienos kraujas” (Wiener Blut, or Viennese Blood in English) scheduled per [1], [2] and [3] for 2007-05-06.
So, is this the same Lithuanian Opera Co., Inc. in Chicago as before?
Or a new company?
