Likely notable

[edit]

I declined the speedy as I found numerous good references mentioning her in both concert and recording reviews. After the second page of Google results I figured she is probably notable.HappyValleyEditor (talk) 03:59, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... (your reason here) I have added specific information about Pruett to her article and will research and add as time allows.--Filberthockey (talk) 13:55, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I was wrong in my post in the above section: she's only notable for the Jon Stickley trio association. And in that case, all the refs are about the trio, rather than her in particular. Also, I may delete some of the material you added as it is unsourced BLP info. Living poeple need strong references! Filberthockey, don't you think the info on here could be covered by the Jon Stickley trio? HappyValleyEditor (talk) 19:12, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
ALso, where did you get her birthdate? COuld you point me to where that is published?HappyValleyEditor (talk) 19:14, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I got her birthdate from her Facebook page. She performs fairly extensively with groups other than the Stickley Trio. I've seen her in concert with at least three other ensembles, but how does one cite personal experience? In general, I think it's actually backwards to merge people into their performing groups. If anything, the performing ensembles should be merged into the individual's descriptions.Filberthockey (talk) 20:52, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'll take the speedy off as long as you leave off the Facebook-sourced info... Not sure I agree with merging the ensembles into the performers, but I'll leave you to it as you seem dedicated!
This has been a very instructive conversation. Suppose I ask Lyndsay when her birthday is, would that be an acceptable source? How would one cite it?Filberthockey (talk) 01:32, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
