Editing my Major Food Group Draft
[edit]@Reagle here is my draft article on Major Food Group. I would love to hear your thoughts on what looks good so far and what I should be improving on, thank you! SpressNEU (talk) 22:53, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Review
[edit]SpressNEU, good start! View your page's history to see if I made any edits or left any templates.
- The biggest issue is the promotional tone. I tried to address this but you will need to rigorously revise the prose with this in mind.
- I removed some judgmental claims, if you wish to restore them attribute them to a source.
- I tagged other judgmental claims.
When you've addressed any concerns I've raised on the page ping me for an additional review.

- SpressNEU, remember you can see that Major_Food_Group has been started and deleted 3 times over the years for being overly promotional, so you need to be careful. -Reagle (talk) 21:01, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
Removed Promotional Content
[edit]@Reagle I made edits to remove the promotional content I saw throughout the article. I also expanded on ZZ's clam bar to include its closure and added information about the members only ZZ's club. I think that I removed pretty much all of the promotional content? but please let me know what you think, thank you! SpressNEU (talk) 23:33, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- SpressNEU, I made some edits, please review the history. The biggest issue was the continued promotional/judgemental tone in descriptions such as "quickly garnered attention," "intimate," "high-energy," etc. You should limit such characterizations except when they come from a notable person in a reputable secondary source (e.g., famous food critic in a major magazine). I removed some words, and I removed some sentences with such words. That means you lost some sources, which you should work include again if you are careful about attribution the source of judgements in the prose. Brianda_(Wiki_Ed) do you think the article is ready to move to mainspace? -Reagle (talk) 15:33, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
- Ditto on including the lost sources and properly attributing judgements to the sources. I went into the draft and did some minor formatting and punctuation edits. I think "be bold" and move it live.. satisfies notability and edits can continue to be made once it's live Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 22:27, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
