Having been been raised, alongside his brothers, by a single mother, Marcus has commented on the hardships he faced (sometimes going without food) as a child due to Conservative governments.
What has yet to be explained though is that he was born in 1997 following a “New Labour” landslide victory in the Uk General Election, and was 13 when the “Tories” were voted back in to power.
