Wife's Remarks

[edit]
Mutesa's wife, who lived apart from him in view of his drinking, and his solicitor,
noted that there was no evidence of long-term alcoholism.

Spelling

[edit]

Isn't Muteesa the correct spelling?

Charles Matthews 08:55, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the correct spelling is Muteesa.

However, this correctness derives from the standardisation of the Luganda orthography, which was adopted in 1948. Many proper names were technically incorrect but had been in use for decades. Best example Apolo Kagwa (prime minister and scholar) is properly "Kaggwa" but all his published works were under "Kagwa". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kigongos (talkcontribs).

Brothers

[edit]

Why didn't one of his older brothers became king? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.125.148.175 (talk) 21:02, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
