Hi,

Regarding the genre edit i added in the song why is it considered an element. The psychedelic part i can see but it says grungy garage rock guitar riffs, which is the whole song that sets the tone. 202.90.242.154 (talk) 12:07, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

First off, the page needs a section of prose discussing musical style. That section is where all the citations should appear. That section can also describe the various elements such as "emotional vocals and sincere lyrics over grungy garage rock inspired rhythm guitar riffs. The lead guitar on 'Nearly Lost You' has a psychedelic feel to it that set The Screaming Trees apart from their grunge contemporaries."
To answer your specific question: the cited source says the guitar "has a psychedelic feel" which is not the same as if the source had said the whole song is psychedelic rock. In fact, the source emphasizes how the song is grunge. Binksternet (talk) 16:49, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That looks interesting. Usually, substack posts fail WP:USERG because the author is not a known expert, but Scott Frampton was senior editor at CMJ New Music Monthly, so he is a reasonably reliable source. Binksternet (talk) 23:36, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
