Re-merged

[edit]

I re-merged the content for Nacha Tindey Lodge. Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting/Local Scouting articles (BSA) is the editing convention that supports this idea. Since there are no sources given for the content of Nacha Tindey Lodge, we can not presume that this topic has notability. With out notability an article can not stand on its own.R00m c (talk) 06:35, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

[edit]

Camp Gerber has been split from this article and should be remerged, as otherwise it is a non-notable standalone.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 01:06, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The COI poster (Mtlanglois) who revived this as a standalone article asserts that it is now part of Michigan Crossroads Council instead of President Gerald R. Ford Field Service Council. If anything we should target that page instead. Tiggerjay (talk) 01:10, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is indeed, but it would be severely WP:UNDUE WEIGHT there, where it is only one of two dozen camps. This is where it was calved from and where it makes most sense geographically and historically.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 01:49, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Gerber Scout Reservation existed first during the Timber Trails council, then the West Michigan Shores Council, Gerald R Ford Council, then for one year the President Ford Field Service Council, then was Transferred to the Michigan Crossroads Council. The history of the camp should not be tied to one council as it served scouts not a particular council. Also the idea that it is not notable enough is without grounds. I give the example of Owasippe right next door that has its own article that is stand alone and has had time to develop. This article just needs more time to develop before being merged or deleted. Due to concerns over undue weight, because Gerber Scout Reservation is sourced enough to stand alone, and lack of participation, I'm going to boldly close the merge discussion, leaving Gerber Scout Reservation where it is as a stand alone article. Feel free to revert and revive the discussion if you disagree. Tiggerjay (talk) 16:42, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
