Ram Prasad Bismil was a Brahmin

[edit]

I will be giving the evidences which suggest that the Identity of Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil is Brahmin.

Evidence: Ramprasad Bismil Autobiography

On one page of this book, Ramprasad ji himself writes that his grandfather, Narayan Lal ji, used to participate in Brahmin feasts. That is, he was a Brahmin.

On the same page, he writes that his grandfather used to be a Pandit, i.e., Jajmani, and the household was run by that.

He used to do Havana daily and his mother used to help him in his religious works.

Pandit Ramprasad Bismil is mentioned as Brahman in the official Kakori Conspiracy Case. SESSIONS TRIAL NO. OF 1926. (page number 7) published allahabad high court.

If, even after this, someone is unsure whether he was a Brahmin or not, at least acknowledge the possibility of him being a Brahmin. Master racer 55 (talk) 05:09, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil was born in a Brahmin Family"
this should be mentioned in the wiki page Master racer 55 (talk) 13:34, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The words claiming him to be a Tomar Rajput are from third-party sources, such as news headlines and biographies.
The source I have used is the Report of the Allahabad High Court (where his caste is mentioned as Brahmin) and his own autobiography, where he himself narrates his grandfather's day-to-day life like a Brahmin.
Hence, that line claiming him to be a Tomar must be removed.
+ There is a lack of credible sources to support the claim that "he earned the title of Pandit due to his knowledge of various subjects."
so that line must be removed too.
looking forward for your response Master racer 55 (talk) 13:59, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
