Lap joint with groove; molding?

[edit]

I've heard that a joint common in injection molding, in which two halves meet at a lap joint where one side has a flange and the other has a mating groove on the inside of a housing, leaving a nominal groove at the seam, is also called a reveal. Does that sound right? Should this article be expanded (and renamed?) to reflect this? —Ben FrantzDale (talk) 12:37, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
