arthur Silva 16:49, 29 May 2011 (UTC)i remove the link to chinese, because the linked chinese article is Sedum, rather than Rhinanthus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arthursilva (talk • contribs)
I'm sure this passage from the entry is true but it would benefit from being properly referenced with a citation:
"Research at the UK's Centre for Ecology and Hydrology has shown that encouraging yellow rattle to grow in hay meadows greatly increases biodiversity by restricting grass growth and thereby allowing other species to thrive."

Ecology/Uses/Conservation
[edit]I think it is worth rearranging the sections concerning the ecology and uses of Rhinanthus in the article. Since this species has a fairly unique role in conservation and grassland management (suppressing grasses etc) there should be a section covering this in detail. I think splitting "Distribution and ecology" and combining the ecological sections with "Uses and cultivation" then having subsections on "Effects on plant community structure" and "Uses in conservation" would be the best way to achieve this.
