I think thispage has a bit too much on Mattel and Barbie, and not enough about Ruth Handler. Am I right?

I think you´re not because hardly anyone would be interested in Ms Handler if she hadn´t created one of 20th century´s icons. 195.179.14.235 14:16, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I quite agree! Without doubt she was a remarkable woman but the most remarkable thing in her life was Barbie. 89.51.17.29 19:42, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that this website is more focused on the barbie doll even though i typed in Ruth Handler! It needs more info on Ruth Handler!!

me 2 I think it focuses wat 2 much on barbie (eeewww)!!!!!!

Under Formation of Mattel, "to make dollhouse farts"?

Barbie is what makes her interesting

[edit]

You know what she wouldnt have been heard of if it wasnt for the barbie so stop saying theres to much Barbie.

I think that I need to know what her parents names are and what they did for a living and I can't find it anywhere! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.128.132.208 (talk) 19:16, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I recently read in the Washington Post (I think) that Ruth Handler was convicted of tax evasion. Is that true and, if so, why no mention of it in the Bio? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.169.146.87 (talk) 20:25, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Fighting the good fight"?

[edit]

"Fighting the good fight" is not an appropriate title for a section of an encyclopedia article. ForDorothy (talk) 01:09, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

main who are ruth handlers spouse and children i need this stuff for my book

"The growth and decline of Mattel" section misnamed

[edit]

The section The growth and decline of Mattel says nothing about the growth and decline of the company. Plus, a section with that name would go in the Mattel page, not here. Donpayette (talk) 16:55, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Barbie portrayal

[edit]

Is she depicted as a ghost or a spirit? I only put ghost based on Will Ferrell's words in the movie. Borgenland (talk) 13:27, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Betty White

[edit]

And nobody's going to say anything about her uncanny resemblance to Betty White??!!?? or vice versa. she is a dead ringer for her. Betty White was cheated! they should have made that movie before and she could have played Ruth Handler and only needed a prosthetic nose, which is how Betty White's nose looked before her plastic surgery, anyway. Resemblance is so eerie, look at her eyes, the hair, the shape of the faces, everything!! it's the weirdest thing, like they could have been cloned.

Could have even made a serious movie like a drama about the life of this lady starring Betty White; she would have been awesome, just watch her in Chance of a Lifetime with Leslie Nielsen: you can get a glimpse of what she could have done with the role. 69.75.131.46 (talk) 02:35, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
