Global View?
[edit]This article currently only covers the USA. Other countries also use a soil series to classify their own soils (the UK for instance: http://www.landis.org.uk/services/soilsguide/index.cfm). It would be useful to have a brief summary of the different way this term is used by different national soil classification bodies.
