Accreditation
[edit]I agree that being placed on probation is significant, but I don't think it merits inclusion in the lead. The school has over 100 years of history. Niteshift36 (talk) 00:39, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
- That the institution is currently undergoing such significant problems that its regional accreditor has formally and publicly warned it by placing it on probation is very serious. This isn't a historical fact but the institution's current status. It's a critical fact for readers to know about this subject and on that basis it should be in the lead. - The information isn't being removed. It was simply moved to a section about the topic, pertaining to academics. It is serious, but it's also temporary. You're talking about a school with 100+ years of history and putting a probation in the lead. The school is accredited. It never lost it. It could have, but didn't. Had it lost it, then it may belong in the lead. But just getting probation should be in the article body. In the previous version, it was jammed in the lead and never put in the body. It was also a year old. Niteshift36 (talk) 02:37, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Arts, Music, TV and Radio Media, And Public Figure
[edit]Greetings,
I made an addition to the Notable Alumni Section under Arts, Music, TV and Radio Media, And Public Figures. I included SCSU alumnus Doris Funnye Innis (née Funnye), class of 1955. I feel she is a noteworthy addition because of her contributions to the Civil Rights Movement during her time with the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE). In addition to being the spouse of the CORE Chairman Roy Innis, she had significant influence within the organization in the 1960's and 1970's as a journalist and writer addressing African American social and political issues of the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hokgwai (talk • contribs) 02:43, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
