Claiming work that is not his
[edit]According to Nature News, a controversy has broken out about Mr. Lucas. His accusers have claimed that he and others have taken credit work that is not actually his. See this article for more info. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 23:51, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- An anonymous user keeps deleting the paragraph about this controversy. Please put the paragraph back or explain yourself. I'll wait a few days. Martin Rundkvist (talk) 07:30, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- "It is an essential part of professional ethics that scientists must not name species if they know another scientist is in the process of working up material for publication." has been deleted by our spinmaster, as unnecessary for the Wikipedia reader to know. It will be hard to stabilize an honest, declarative article, I surmise. --Wetman (talk) 04:28, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's a hidden text, and I'm not the spinmeister (as a sidenote, I played with Wikiscanner to see if it was an obvious candidate editing from work, but no connection to either the NMMNHS, U of NM, or U of CO (Denver)). Otherwise, I would have deleted the whole thing, like they did before. I don't see why we have to spell that out; it reads like a lecture. If you'd prefer it back, feel free to remove the <!-- -->.
