Steve Phelps Factual Updates
[edit]Hello,
I am reaching out to request two "bundled" updates (below) to Phelps' career section. All of the executions/accomplishments listed below are verifiable facts with plenty of public reporting to support them. They are significant events in NASCAR history, and thus, significant to the public's understanding of Steve Phelps' impact.
- Phelps has overseen significant innovation of NASCAR’s schedule, including the new exhibition event Busch Light Clash at the LA Coliseum, the NASCAR Chicago Street Race, NASCAR’s first Cup Series points race in Mexico coming in 2025, and the introduction of a new in-season tournament format debuting in 2025.
- Under Phelps’ leadership, NASCAR launched NASCAR IMPACT in 2023, the sport’s social responsibility and sustainability platform, which included committing to a number of important sustainability benchmarks, including the goal of net-zero operating carbon emissions by 2035.

{{adminhelp}} Hello, following up on this. I recognize as a Start-Class page, this may not be priority/have caught anyone's attention yet. It's important to us we have a more accurate updated reflection of Steve's role and impact within NASCAR as soon as we're able to. Appreciate any consideration and assistance here. Thanks.

- A new one, please delete the sentence about his wife and children from his "Personal Life" section.
- In personal details, please update his Spouse to: Dina (div. 2024).
- Please male the two paragraph additions above and included here again in his career section. I've included third-party sources for each claim this time.
