Until the end of the 2000s, CRT TVs were still sold and manufactured and were still popular. Until the end of the 2000s, they stopped being manufactured in general around the world at the beginning in the early 2010s and also many programs and various channels from all countries around the world were still in 4:3 format, even on video platforms like YouTube that until the end of the 2000s most videos were in 480p only from the beginning of the 2010s that digital TV became popular worldwide with 1080p resolution and also on video platforms Eusouwikipede2001 (talk) 21:56, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add the following paragraph in the Electronic Television History section after the sentence, "Unfortunately, an issue with the multipactor was that it wore out at an unsatisfactory rate. [75] And before the paragraph beginning with, "At the Berlin Radio Show in August, 1931..."

During the same period, Elwin L. Peterson had perfected the Transmitting System and Apparatus. As stated in the patent he filed on August 18, 1928, "This invention, relates to a method and apparatus intended primarily, for transmitting vision, although certain phases of the method and parts of the apparatus are applicable to the transmission of sound as well as vision." This was different from previous patents on television in that it not only made sound possible, it also used varied frequency lengths in the transmission of a given image.

The Transmitting System and Apparatus patent was approved on February 18, 1930, assigned number 1,747,791. <ref> The United States Patent Office. HopefulandHelpful (talk) 01:53, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

How are you supposed to use "change x to y" format when you are just adding a paragraph - not changing anything in the original text? HopefulandHelpful (talk) 01:56, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. For what it's worth, when you're proposing just an addition of text it doesn't have to be in "change x to y" format. However, in order for something like this to be added we'd need reliable sources who have written about Peterson's patent in the context of the history of television, and we summarize what they have said. Simply citing the patent is not enough I'm afraid. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 18:46, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
