The photo, what are we looking at?
[edit]Does anybody know which way we're looking in the photo, where, specifically, the three countries are? 140.147.236.195 (talk) 14:47, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza
- The current photo (File:Treriks.jpg) is taken from the Swedish side (approximately from southwest). Thus Finland is on the right, and Norway both left and at background (see map). — How can we tell? If you look very carefully at the center marker stone on the top, you can see the three crowns: compare to here which has clear photos of the center marker from all three sides. Also the background is quite different in e.g. File:Three nations.JPG which is taken from the Finnish side. --Jmk (talk) 07:24, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
WW2 photo vs. current photo
[edit]I'm curious: Was the lake simply frozen over when the Finns raised their flag, or was the valley flooded at a later point in time? 8.19.241.10 (talk) 14:07, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
