Irrelevant Image
[edit]Why is there an unexplained photo of Nairobi bus station in this article on Tanzania? One bus has "Eldoret" on the side. That is in Kenya, as is Nairobi. SilasW 12:59, 8 May 2007 (UTC) Who knew? But it has gone now.--SilasW (talk) 09:13, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Article cleanup
[edit]I think this article would be better served by reducing the size and clutter of the railway and waterway sections. Right now it is scattered and hard to follow. Most readers do not need that level of detail; that information could be better presented in one subsection, a table, or a bulleted list. I will leave that to someone more familiar with the subject. - Actually, if there is too much information, then subsidiary articles with titles like Rail transport in Tanzania and Water transport in Tanzania should handle the load, with a mere summary here and use of the main article template. --Bejnar (talk) 00:08, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Roads section is not current
[edit]On 23 November 2011, IP editor 80.254.147.52 (talk) wrote: Caution: This information on Tanzanian road conditions is outdated. There has been massive highway construction across the nation over the last five years. For example, the highway from Dar es Salaam to Mwanza on Lake Victoria (once paved only up to Dodoma) is now completely paved. Similarly, the southern-bound tarmac road linking Dar es Salaam and Lindi is nearing or has already been completed. Many other road networks are also undergoing improvements. Refer to the Tanzanian ministry of transportation for more up-to-date data. (Comment removed from article per Wikipedia:No disclaimers in articles.) On 6 September 2012, Lerionka (talk) seemed to agree. I do agree that the roads section is quite out-of-date, so is the air transport section for that matter. I'm not sure what the current reliable sources would look like. Maybe the folks at WikiProject Highways could give a hand? --Bejnar (talk) 20:20, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
- I am working on it. Be patient. AfricaTanz (talk) 10:58, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
