Armour thickness

I have now added a second cited source which confirms the original cited source which states the armour thickness to be: Type 5 Chi-Ri had sloped welded armor, with a maximum thickness of 75 mm at the front hull; 25-50 mm on the side; 50 mm on the rear and 50 mm on the turret. The sources cited are: Tomczyk, Andrzej (2005). Japanese Armor Vol. 4. AJ Press. ISBN 83-7237-167-9 and *History of War. Please do not revert any change to cited numbers without prior discussion and providing a WP:RS source to cite. Ho-Ri I picture: Actually Ho-Ri III?

I'm sorry I don't have any good sources for this, but from my knowledge the image of the Ho-Ri I mock up is actually the Ho-Ri III. This would be the Ho-Ri I, matching the Chi-Ri chassis more than the III, which has sloped armor in the front. If anyone has any sources to back this up I would like to use them to rewrite the section, but otherwise I can't think of anyway to rewrite it without sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SapaInka (talk • contribs) 02:20, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

No, it is a earlier mock-up of the Ho-Ri I. I have seen better drawings and mock-ups, but Wikimedia does not have one for free use. The Ho-Ri I was inspired by the German Panzerjäger Tiger (P) Ferdinand and the Ho-Ri II was inspired by the Jagdtiger. Kierzek (talk) 02:47, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

Ho-Ri did not product completed

In Variants section says "Another source states that by March 1945, a total of 5 Ho-Ri gun tanks were produced."

but, these sources are not mean Ho-Ri was produced. Original of first source ("The National Institute for Defense Studies, Ministry of Defense, Military Administration of Munitions Mobilization, Production Chart of January to April of 1945") is 「JACAR Ref.C13120839500、軍事機密第１号　昭和２０年自１月至４月　整備計画　昭和１９．１２．２６(防衛省防衛研究所)」 (JACAR ref.C13120839500 [Military Secret No.1] Production planning January to April 1945. Title says this is only a plan. For example, 7th line of this sheet is Chi-Nu(チヌ車) production plan. (January: 35, February: 35, March: 35, April: 35) But '「JACAR Ref.C14011034800、月別兵器生産状況調査表　昭和１６～２０年(防衛省防衛研究所)」(JACAR Ref.C14011034800 Monthly Weapons Production Status Survey Table, 1941~1945 (Japan Ministry of Defense Institute of Defense))' says, Chi-Nu's true production is [September: 1, October: 0, November: 3, December: 5, January: 8, February: 7, March: 30].

But this is only a plan, too. For example, pdf page 4 is a plan of "New Medium tank (Ko)(Chi-To)", but it say main weapon(主要武装) is long-57mm gun(五七粍(長)). But also know true Chi-To have long 75mm gun!

Furthermore, 「JACAR Ref.C14010956700、未完成兵器等一覧表(防衛省防衛研究所)」(JACAR Ref. C14010956700, Uncompleted weapons list(Japan Ministry of Defense Institute of Defense)) pdf page 23 says "New gun tank (Ho-Ri), completed: 0, uncompleted(over 70%): 0, uncompleted(over 50%: 5, uncompleted(over 20%: 0, factory name: Mitsubishi heavy industory Tokyo machines factory, Tokyo-to Kamata ---(sorry, I couldn't read it)))"

There is no question as to the gun mounted on the Chi-To; as for the Ho-Ri, if you have an WP:RS, which stated only "planned", then it can be changed, accordingly. One has to avoid WP:OR. Kierzek (talk) 15:56, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, I was misunderstanding the rules of Wikipedia.

I find a book about Ho-Ri. It says: "In the plan, gun designed at Army 1st research institute 3rd section, and hulls product by Mitshubishi, but it wasn't completed."(Eimori Denji・Takeuchi Akira, 1978 "JAPANESE TANKS AND ARMORED VEHICLES", part 2 P.165)

Original sentence: 砲の設計は第一陸軍技術研究所第三科に於いて行われ，車体関係は三菱重工で製作される予定だったが，完成を見るには至らなかった。

Japanese armor expert and author Akira Takizawa (Taki) was nice enough to authenticate and translate the document for me and stated: it is real, and only a production plan; as you stated and your source states, Aizenns.
