Ref quality

[edit]

Ref 6 is a bit dubious. An info pamphlet produced for the public. Some refs to peer-reviewed volcanology journals would be better, for such an important bit of info. The ratio of CO vs CO2 in eruptions should be mentioned. The total CO+CO2 emitted from undersea, where most geological CO2 is to be found, volcanic activity is unknown. 27.33.251.24 (talk) 02:57, 30 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article contains very little science, and it's somewhat haphazard in it's presentation. I concure that it's pamphlet like in it's structure, but only qualifies as a curiosity.
In particular the low Ph gases like SO2 are practically ignored with in favor of the chemically stable trace gas CO2. Ocean acidification, acid rain, albedo, and the impact on life are being misrepresented. 136.62.193.12 (talk) 23:03, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Note that Ref 6 is now a different reference but the reference above still needs to be changed.DrVolatiles (talk) 21:51, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
